The message board is being totally revamped. The change is scheduled for around noon today. The board should be down for about an hour.

If you had a previous account on the board you will not lose any of your old data.

This change was mandated and scheduled by the NHL. The new system is called an Invision IP.Board. It's going to make things easier for us to run the board and it will also be easier for users. Vancouver and Calgary are already running their boards.

Take a peak, we've been excited about this for a few months now. We finally have all the bugs worked out.

I didn't know I was violating any rules, sorry. I thought the two spam replies were in fun. I also thought the two sites compliment one another.

I check and see if my boss at that site will add esksfan.com. I'm not sure if he can as the NHL governs the site.

Ok, consider this an inquiry as I certainly don't want to step on any body's toes here. When I post something and I say it came from hfboards.com, that's not considered 'spam' here is it?

I fully don't understand it either, there has been plenty of references to other sites here. CFL zone when it started up, GSG, Riderfans, and whatnot. I didn't see the harm.

To defend OPUS here for a second.

When we post links from the Edmonton newspapers or TSN or anyother news type site we are doing it for information purposes and not advertising their site. What Nook is doing here could be considered advertising for the Edmonton Oilers and their website. Now if he linked to a story on Edmontonoilers.com as some news about the Oilers then it would different, just like if someone put a link to the Official Esks website on here. I agree with Opus when he pointed this out and it should really be followed by all members and I honestly hope that the next time it happens the message is pulled. NO OFFENSE TO NOOK OR ANY ONE ELSE IS IMPLIED OR INTENED.

Yeah...or he knows that there a lot of Oiler fans on this site and wanted to let us know that a particular fan site is now a lot more interesting.
