If Scott Howson gets hired by another team to be a GM who do you think would be the oils next Asst GM and who would you like to see as Asst GM.
Oh and BTW you can't name yourself.

I have no idea who the Oilers will hire but I'd like them to at least consider Doug Soetaert of the WHL's Everett Silvertips. He's an Edmonton guy but not part of the Oilers' old-boys club. His teams in Everett and before that in Kansas City (IHL) have fared very well on and off the ice. The only blotch on his record was a so-so 1 year stint with the Flames organization in Omaha (AHL).

Speaking of Soetaert, how many remember Larry Hendricks?

Both Hendrick and Soetaert were great junior goalies and in spite of the fact that then-Oil Kings coach Brian Shaw tried to pit them against one another, nothing came of it because both of them are such decent guys. While Soetaert went on to play in the NHL before getting into coaching/management, Hendrick has had a long career as a teacher in Edmonton.
