    Hemsky's Contract

    What is it?

    P.S.
I love his picture hahaha Reminds me of a little kid who had to wear his Oil jersey for picture day.

The legal document outlining the terms he agreed to with the Oilers. It states how long he'd play and for how much. Every player has one.

$24.6 million/6 years. Here's the story for it from last year:

I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

Where is that picture of the horse's ass??? lol

I want the details you dork. haha I'm on another message board and people are jumping to conclusions about Hull/Jackson watching the Oil vs Islanders game last night while they were at the Stars game and jotting down notes.
I think people are reading WAY too much into it, but they do also have their hopes up after Hull hinted at a trade in the works.

Someone mentioned Hemsky and I just don't see that happening. The person asked me what Hemsky's contract is and I can't find the exact details of it.

Hemsky has a fantastic contract, is only 23 years old and is easily the most gifted player on the team. There is no one on the Stars I would take over Hemsky.

              Exactly.
To think the Oil would give him to the Stars is ridiculous. Hemsky is a great player and has a LOT of years left in him.

                    It's what I do....

I was surprised actually to see that the Oilers are in as bad of cap shape as they are. Only the Leafs (2nd worst) and Flyers (worst) have less cap space......

                          Re: Hemsky's Contract

When Brett Hull speaks its best to take it with a grain of salt. Hemsky is as close to untouchable as you can get with the Oilers. Hey, a feather in the cap of old K. Lowe. Signed Hemsky to a six year deal when the price was still reasonable.

On the subject of a trade, I'm sure that the Oilers are looking to unload some salaries but I don't think that there will be many takers. I think we are probably stuck with Roloson's "flu" problem for the next 18 months. We shall see.

I agree about taking what Hull says with a grain of salt, when he's just being opinionated and trying to rile people up.
But he didn't mention Hemsky at all, he didn't hint at any specific players or what teams they were looking at.

He was probably checking MacT out then.
