    Peter Forsberg

    Darren Dreger just suggested that the oilers are in the mix of teams trying to get Peter Forsberg. What are your thoughts on this?

    The Oilers wouldn't want him and Forsberg would NEVER come here.

          The Oilers MIGHT want him. (He was actually VERY close to signing with the Oilers immediately after the lock-out). But I doubt he'd want to play with a team that wasn't an immediate contender.

            Why would anyone sign him now. He would only play a handful of games before getting injured somehow.

                I would be very excited if the Oilers signed him....I think he has some good years left in him.

                  A lot of reasons for the Oilers to be interested.

                  Forsberg though?

                  Not so much. This team would need a miracle run... and unless Forsberg can turn the clock back to '02 and be the best player in the game again, and even with him, that may not be enough at this point, we'd have no chance of even making the playoffs.
