There's bad apples in every bunch. Just because majority of us are Oilers fans doesn't mean we will necessarily stick up for whatever idiotic thing they may have done. So spill the beans.
Ok... to sum it up, and I really don't want to get into it and I'm honestly not trying to tick people off.... but...
1) Booing injured players = not cool
2) Please refrain from throwing garbage on the ice, no matter what your frustration is.
I'll just leave it at that.
Agreed on booing Modano for being down... that was one of the few times I was quiet all night.
Short and sweet:
#1) Props to the two gentlemen from Saskatoon to my right for attempting to get the kiss camera aimed in the proper direction .
#2) Spec, were you wearing a black jersey with a jacket over top? And your BF an Oiler hat (big Oil logo on the back)/old school jersey? Pretty sure I saw you TWICE.
#3) One of the worst officiated games I've seen in a long time. Not only was there huge inconsistency (on BOTH sides), but two 5 on 3's, over a minute long, on ticky-tacky calls? For shame.
#4) Man did we miss Horcoff. That PP unit couldn't get puck possession for the life of them.
#6) Apparently some guy named Jarret Stoll plays for the Oilers, same thing for Dwayne Roloson. Anyone heard of either of them?
#7) Steve Ott is a piece of crap.
#8) Jase gets cool points for getting a hug from the stewardess .
#9) Reasoner was the best Oiler on the ice. Which sums up a lot of things .
#10) I'd much rather see a replay of an injury, scoring chance, hit or... well almost anything, then some ugly chick with orange skin and white hair, an ugly drunk guy dancing, or basically anything else that ends up on the jumbo tron.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.
If you want to understand the real problem, you should have checked out the post-game show last night.
Some twit, I don't know what his name was (he said he was 25 years old) was hosting the show and he sounded like a 12 year old.
One poor soul had the temerity to challenge Mac-T's coaching decision. The 12 year old started scolding him and he sounded like the child who was defending his pet teacher.
"Mac-T is a really, really nice man and you know what. Michael Peca even said so after his year in Edmonton. Michael said that he's the nicest, smartest, most honest super-duper guy around." He then cut the guy off and basically called him a stupid ingrate. All of this based on his vast reservoir of experience and knowledge.
This is the real problem with the Oilers as it has been the last while for the Esks. The old boy crowd are not held accountable for their decisions.
