Moreau Skips Bag Skate, but Still Plays Tonight!

Apparently his neck was too sore to participate in the bag skate, but he's just fine to play tonight...

What a disgrace this guy is to guys like Gretzky, Messier, Weight and Smith...
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

According to Gregor, Moreau will be discarding his visor for tonight's game. Maybe the weight of it was hurting his neck...

I'm as frustrated with Moreau as much as anybody, but geez, you're fishing here. Unless you're a team doctor or have actually talked to the team doctor, I don't think you're qualified to comment on what kind of neck problem he has.

      Maybe your post should say:
Moreau's neck is too bad to even practice, but he's still playing trying to help the team.

Neither you or I know exactly what's going on with Moreau or in the teams dressing room; you're just spinning it the way you want it.

      end of rant
These pretzels are making me thirsty.

Maybe his neck will hurt too much for him to take a stupid penalty.

They're shooting for last, there are no stupid penalties...at this point ALL penalties are good penalties!
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

Even if it's Moreau in the ofensive zone?

Pfft, of course! The Oilers have been offensive for months!

I sure am... shamelessly too .

Me thinks a neck injury is a heck of a lot more likely to be aggravated in a contact game than a bag skate though .

And one thing I do know for sure, is if anyone deserves one, I'd say the guy doing all the finger pointing while bringing nothing to the table except for bad penalties would be at the top of the list....

Well, we still managed to lose but unfortunately we did get a point tonight.

On a more positive note, Gagner scored in the game and has played well lately. I mean, we have to rebuild with something other than this year's draft choice, don't we

Souray scores as well which may make him easier to trade at the deadline-- if he can keep it up.

Oilers send out a RH faceoff man and score a goal off of it...

WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY PREDICTED THAT WOULD BE A NEED BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED?!?!?!?!?!

Smid takes another big hit... jesus. I've never seen a d man get blown up as often as he does.

We can't even blow a game properly...lose and still get a point. Sheesh.

On a somewhat related note, gotta feel for Dubnyk - he's played well enough to win in at least 3 or 4 games now and still hasn't got his first one yet.

I get the feeling that he has more potential than JDD.

Looks like all the bag skate did to Horcoff was help him fumble bumble with the puck even more than usual tonight.

Yeah, I've had that feeling since last season's training camp, but due to JDD's waiver eligibility DD was the guy to get sent down. Hopefully, he can use this opportunity to show his stuff and possibly be around next year. JDD hasn't been bad, but like a couple people on here have said, nothing more than a decent back-up.

Yep.. sooo worth the 7mil(5.5 cap hit )

allthough I did laugh a few times at him.. I particularity loved his shot , in I believe it was OT where he was just al little inside from the face-off circle, in a good shooting lane IMO and he tees it up for a shot on net...Only thing he shot it about 6 feet above the net. Louongo catches it at head level and attempts to play it.. that close and he blasts it way above the net..
