    Khabibulin guilty on all charges

    Sentencing to be determined at a later date, but jail time is gonna happen.

      Maybe this will give the Oilers grounds to void his contract thus ridding them of his albatross of a contract and allowing them to continue to develop both JDD and DD as goalies of the future. Or allow them to sign an experienced journeyman goalie for at least next season until either JDD or DD is ready for a full-time job.

        Something like that wouldn't break me up in the least. Habby Boo Boo is, at best, mediocre.
        Maciocia, Hall, Strasser, Hairston and Thorpe are finally all gone. The rest will take care of itself.

          So he gets at the least 30 days in jail and at the most six months from what I read and heard.
          What do you guys see him getting?

            Probably 30 days. His lawyer will make some kind of an argument about his job and him being a first-time offender, yadda, yadda, yadda, yadda . . . . The same argument will be used to enable him to travel between the U.S. and Canada. There's not many judges that want to deprive a person of their livelihood because of crimes such as Habby Boo Boo committed. Had he killed someone in the process, that would have been a completely different matter.

              Yeah, you're probably right.
              Arizona does have some of the toughest laws against drunk driving in the States so I figured they might want to make an example because of him being an athlete and all. But since he is a first time offender, the judge may lay off him a little.
              I guess we'll have to wait and see.

                  Yup. He'll get at least 30 days and could get up to six months - but I would be really shocked if he got anything near six months.

                          IIRC Kurt Busch of NASCAR fame got into some DUI issues in Arizona and didn't do any jail time. Can't remember all the particulars though.
