    Calling all Flames fans.......

    We're tied for first in the West with a 3 - 0 record, how about yourselves?

    Another year without the Cup eh? Oh well at least the Stamps won't be the only losers in town.....

    Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

    Well, misery loves company. Hey, at least lacrosse season is coming up.....and speed skating too.....

        I wish Beau89 would post here. Then he could go off on a dumb tangent about how the AHL Oilers are 3-0, and the soon-to-be-champs Flames have allowed 20 goals in 4 games.

        I know it's only 4 games and they have plenty of time to turn it around, but it's nice to see their toothless mouths shut for a change. Apparently alot of them have broken ankles already.

          Lotsa hockey to be played yet, although it would be nice to see the Oil 8-2 after 10.

            A good start will give them confidence at least. As long as we don't have our usual mid-season skid and have to claw into the playoffs, I'll be happy.

              Good point.

              I'll admit it, the start to the season has sucked. Kudos to the Oil for their good start. I'm looking forward to the BOA rekindling this season.

              How 'bout that Bryan Marchment guy?

                  Its only 4 games in but according to that weasel Eric Francis...the Flames were about to ice one of the best lineups in the history of the NHL.

                      Based on this story it would seem that they are taking the brutal start to the season rather hard in Cowtown....

                      CALGARY (CP) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Calgary courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

                      The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

                      After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge, granted temporary custody to the Calgary Flames, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

                          I dont get what sutter is thinking about bringing in marchment??

                          its always ohhh 'insert player name' is a " great sutter type player" or "sutter type player" Ive never seen darryl sutter play so i dont know how he used to play, if its like marchment then thats just garbage lol, he was decent in SJ few years ago and still could hit sometimes in open ice,

                          still this dude couldn't make the leafs top 6 ?maybe he will get brave and challenge big george on the weekend its gonna be on then cause simon wont drop em' theres gotta be more fights though overall in the league, besides that raffi vs gleason fight! raffi knocked him down wit that right handed uppercut, raffi is a soldier, so intense but risk him breakin a finger or somethin need him healthy putting pucks in twine, so thats y we NEED george laraque to lay some guys out

                          thought that coulda happened last night, the look in laraques eye, he was heads up for something, when avery *****ied out and skated right by him, then GATOR went CRAZY got a peice of avery split him open i was first thinkin that norstrom or that perros dude would have to defend avery, but avery defends everyone else ahah, the were talkin bout that on totalsports, that if anyone touches demitra, frolov, or roenick that sean avery is gonna try sometihng, but backs off and wouldnt drop his gloves, thats weak but its true

                              Boy it was nice to turn to Sportsnet just in time to see Dallas pump in that beauty of a goal to kill off the Flames in OT.
