Moreau being out really hurts....we couldve had peca on zetterberg and moreau on datsyuk but no we cant.....we have to find a way tho stop them.

Discipline is the key to the Oilers game. Stay out of the penalty box and they have a chance. Give the Wings more than a few PP's and the Oilers are in big trouble.

The Oil have scored only two goals in the last seven periods at the Joe. Both were on the powerplay.

We need some 5-on-5 scoring. Without it, we're done.

IMO this game will go 1 of 2 ways. The Wings will dominate and blow us outta the water - or last game will have served as a wake up call to our forwards and they'll try to score more espically 5 -5!! - they owe it to Rollie.


But being the Oilers , and with what we have witnessed all season long - I'm going to expect a Wings blowout.

NBC has it in HD!! They have score clocks, penalty clocks, shift clocks, and John Davidson!

CBC doesn't even have it in the poor mans HD that Calgary got.

I saw that goal another way, watch the replay, he kicked it from his right skate to the left and directed it to the net with his left:

Rule 57 D states:

If an attacking player has the puck deflect into the net, off his skate or body, in any manner, the goal shall be allowed. The player who deflected the puck shall be credited with the goal.
The goal shall not be allowed if the puck has been intentionally kicked with his skate or foot, using a distinct kicking motion, and subsequently enters the net.

Initially I thought it was a fluke, until I watched the replay, he had his head down and watched the puck. It doesn't matter if it deflected off of Roli.

He kicked it with the outside of his skate. Not a traditional kick but he knew what he was doing. Yes, it was lucky but it was a kick.

At what point are the officials going to call Chelios et al for their blatant obstruction???

I'm not blaming the officials for where the Oilers are at right now, but I honestly believe they have been getting the short end of the stick for basically 5 1/2 periods so far.

Hemsky for slashing? Only seconds after Chelios holds/obstructs/mugs Smyth at the side of the net?

Can you tell I'm a little frustrated right now?

Which I don't understand, he wines as much as Avery, and probably dives just as much too.
