If true, then both teams would be rested, and both teams would be rusty. It works in Edmonton's favor. Plus, the 2 day break between games 2 and 3 means no competition for the Eskies on Friday.

I smell win-win.

Now Buffalo and Carolina beating each other up has no significance.

The Oilers needed a break and they worked their butts off and EARNED one. The Eastern team gets an undeserved break.

This reminds me of the NFL break before the Super Bowl and that game is usually a dud.

This reminds me of the NFL break before the Super Bowl and that game is usually a dud.

And you'd think we'd have earned a break beating the Sharks in six. But no...the NHL sent us straight to Anaheim because they didn't want to waste time getting that series going.
