Attached are images of a German F-4 Phantom with artwork!

Cold Lake is a finalist for Hockeyville and thus the additional art. The R stands for Richthofen Squadron. As you may have guessed the jet belongs to the famed Red Baron's former squadron.

The Oiler logo looks more convincing, as there's both the near and far away shots. And the other side, well that stylized 'R' is the real McCoy - verifiable on this page http://www.scramble.nl/mil/3/lw/orbat.htm scroll to Kommando 4. Luftwaffendivision

I dunno, easy to photoshop that I think. The We Hockyville part really smacks of a fake, but if it's real, that's cool.

A story was run in todays Journal on this jet, the photos are mine but they didn't give me any photo credit. Here are a few more that I took of that jet. I took close-ups and for any of you (photo-shop) doubters. Look at the rivet detail. Too hard to photoshop that.







There is nothing prettier than a Phantom. Too bad they are so easy to shoot down. Just follow the black contrails, they are like a huge arrow in the sky. No need for radar.
