wow.....didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest......

for me: yeah, my team ain't in the finals.......but if they were I'd still be damn interested in what was goin' on with the Esks.....that's just me.....

I've lost a lot of my passion for the NHL over the last few years.....again, it's just me.....I think they have watered down the game by trying too hard to appeal to the masses. Do I still love hockey? sure...but that doesn't mean that even during the playoffs that the Esks "don't mean anything to me".....

If you're a hardcore Oiler fan, by all means they should have the vast bulk of your attention.....I believe I may have even said last year when the Esks were going down the stretch drive that I could care less about hockey.....and at the time it was totally true.......I mean, I still cared if the Leafs were doing well, but I couldn't devote any time to research what they were doing other than passing info and scores.......like I said: that's just me......didn't mean to cause a Donaldbrook......

Exactly. During the regular season of both leagues I will always go to an Eskimo home game, or if it's an away game on TV along side the Oilers game I will flip back and forth but spend the majority of the time watching the Esks game. Just because I said the Esks don't matter to me right now didn't or doesn't mean that I could care less about the team during the upcoming season.. but right now the CFL is in their pre-season, the NHL is in one of the best sporting events in all of sports with the SCF.. and Edmonton is in it. No offence, but I think you would have to be crazy (unless you hate the NHL, ofcourse) to choose pre-season over Finals. It's like asking me if I would rather watch the GC game with the Esks, or a Oilers reg. season game with the Wild. I'm sure if the Leafs were in the SCF you would watch those games instead of the Esks pre-season games, wouldn't you Fish? Although I don't know how big of a fan you are of the Leafs...

Sadly, I've never had to choose.....

However and regardless.....the Esks would still be very much "on my radar". (honestly, I don't know what I would do....my first instinct would be to go to the Esks game and tape the hockey since it would for sure be on TV)

sometimes wording is all it takes to start a pissing match......I'm an expert in that.....

I'm ultra curious as to how the OIlers will respond. Will they lay down and give up? Will they fight bravely and lose anyway, or will they come out and show the Hurricanes who's boss and own them?
