What a ride!! What team!!! We have a great future with this team, and they've given all of us a reason to cheer for the last 6 weeks.

Thank you Edmonton Oilers! You may not have won, but you gave me a spring I'll not soon forget. You'll get yours, we all know it. Thank you!

I'm not expecting them to get there every year like we heard from Lames fans but we served notce that we're not bottom feeders any longer. If anything I expect this team to improve.

This team made me believe last season when they made that mad rush for the playoffs. They were the best team in the NHL at the time.

This year they built on that. The only missing ingredient is a young goalie.

It will be very nice to watch a team in the next few years that you know will be competitive with the best in the NHL, and be hungry.

Thanks Oil, It just really felt like it was gonna happen this year but this looks to be a competitive team for a long time, here's hoping that they only get stronger for next year and years to come Lord Stanley's mug will come home in our lifetime!

Everyone says that nobody remembers who finished second. Well, that's crap. I'll always remember what this team did this season. It was an amazing experience...the emotional highs and lows will stay with me for many years to come. I will remember the amazing saves by Roloson, the great hits by Torres, the great defensive plays from Pronger and Smith, the goals from Pisani, the faceoffs from Stoll and Peca...what a year...

I'm so proud of them. They deserved better and are true champions in my mind.

Wow, what a run!!! I'm disappointed tonight but I'm also proud of the Oilers. Sometimes it was hard this season not to get frustrated with them and keep from throwing in the towel, but to see all that they accomplished and the hurdles they jumped over to get to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals and being able to experience the excitement starting with the players right down to the fans, it was incredible!!!!

I am not an Oiler fan by any means, but I have to commend the Oilers on their amazing run throughout the 06 Playoffs. 1 game short is nothing to hang your heads about Edmonton fans. The crowds and atmosphere at Rexall was absolutely amazing, and cudos to all the fans, and the city for the tremendous run and crazy support this playoff year. Good on ya Edmonton fans!!

Keep your chin up Edmontonians. You did Canada proud and it was one hell of a series. Probably the best since the Edmonton/phily series back in the day when Hextall won the Conn smythe. Kudos to ya'll from this diehard Habs and Rider fan.....great stuff indeed

IMO The Oilers are the true winners... They may have not won the Mug - but they won thousands upon thousands of peoples hearts - I have never seen a city embrace a team like Edmonton did for the Oilers...


People say you never remember who finished 2nd - but IMO we will be remembered more than the Canes will be...... Just look at all the stuff we had to rfight thru....that type of stuff sticks in a persons brain... Come Dec I wont remember the Canes.. I'll remember the incredible run the Oilers had...
