Not all bad today - Bears beat Calgary
The Bears rolled over Calgary tonight, 33-10. 
Probably their best game of the year so far - the D forced a half-dozen turnovers, and should've had more. Returns were good, and the rushing game piled up over 250 yds IIRC.
Lots of penalties - but they didn't hurt too much in the end.
Calgary's only TD came on a 6-play drive that went as follows:
Pass for about 50 yds into double coverage - off the arms of both AB DB's and into the arms of the CGY guy who was on the ground at that point
Run
Run, fumble, picked up by AB, fumble, CGY regains
Run
QB draw from 10, fumble forward, CGY recovers on AB 5
Run - TD
Oh well.
And with Regina upsetting Saskatchewan today
, that means next week's Bears/Huskies showdown at Foote will most likely be for 2nd place (and a HOME PLAYOFF GAME ).
So, next Saturday, Foote Field, 7 pm. Keep the Green and Gold gear out, and show up for this one - should be a GREAT game.
