    Sigh.. this just had to happen a few short hours after I said I was done in the Bertuzzi thread didn't it?

    I expect 20 games... that was completely unnecessary and ridiculously dirty.

    He'll get 3 games.

    Yup, it was dirty. Spacek didn't deserve it.

      Definitely didn't.

      If Nichol took that personally (and I can completely see why he did, Spacek deserved 2 minutes for that), all he had to do was turn Spacek around, give him a shove and THEN drop the gloves.

                I think it was definitely worthy of a minor for tripping or interference. Nichol should be suspended for at least 5 games for his punch IMO. You can see the punch-up in the highlights here:

                      Ok first of all I'm not blaming Spacecadet for anything but think about this, you ride a guy into the goal, hard enough to move it off and to the back boards, don't ya think that he might be even a little pissed and you better turn and face him in case he does something stupid like punch you on the side of your mellon. It's called survival and you have to protect yourself.

                        I watched it a couple more times and the pink grabbed him by the sweater and pulled him backwards down to the ice. Very dangerous. Got 9 should have got more maybe. I'd like to hear the NHL reasoning behind this
