The Leafs have one of the longest streaks of futility in all of pro sports - here's to that staying the same for the next 40 years
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.
Not even the longest in the NHL current or otherwise.......but whatever keeps the little people warm at night.....
Note: "One of"
It's the second longest in the NHL - Chicago has gone longer.. the Rangers, Habs, Bruins and Wings have all won since Toronto did. There's a few teams tied with Toronto as well, obviously (St. Louis, LA - Oakland isn't around any more so they don't count, Pittsburgh and the North Stars also won).

If you want to get really technical, you can include when they played in the NHL from 1917-34, but that still leaves them well short of Toronto's record.
Vancouver has about 3 years on Toronto.

when was the last time either of them won it? It's not my fault they sucked so bad they had to leave the league for X number of years......
when was the last time the Ottawa Senators won a cup?
when did the Millionaires win the cup?
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.
Well the Melville Millionaires are playing for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League title
However, they've never won that league so I guess they haven't won for a long time
It's gonna be legen... wait for it, and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second half of the word is ...dary....

Hey, they haven't won it, but Toronto has won it since there was more than 6 teams in the league..
I don't really think it's all that unfair to say Toronto never won a legitimate Stanley Cup because of the size of the league if you really want to go down the route that Vancouver and Ottawa have worse streaks than Toronto because they came into the league after Toronto
