    NLL All-Star Game

Spending a lazy Sunday on the couch, and watching a little lacrosse.

The broadcast leaves much to be desired, they went to commercial during the anthems, and came back having missed a goal and almost six minutes gone in the 1st quarter. They're doing this game on tape delay, it shouldn't be that hard fit it in their time slot.

Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

    Serious? That sucks.

It wasn't bad live - the much-hyped physical play never really materialized, and at times it was obvious that the players were being a bit lazy. Still, no worse than your average all-star game in NBA/NHL, lots of great plays.

I must say I enjoyed the first of the two weekend games more, though (Rush beat Rochester 10-9 in OT, compared to East beating West 17-16 in OT today).

Interesting tidbit - in the six (or seven) ASG's that the NLL has ever had, the "home" team has never won.

So... were you at the skills comp?

Happen to see the kid who shot 90?

        Course I was.

Was that you? If so, awesome - though I was much more impressed with the trick-shot kid. That backwards-over-the-head-between-the-legs was ridiculous.

The game was fun to watch...Steenhuis himself was almost worth the price of admission!

I would have been interested in seeing the Rochester game and skills competition. That looked interesting... and a great game to boot!

Wouldn't be surprised if they were both the same guy .... he's ridiculously talented. Greg Bourret was the vertically challenged guy rifling the ball around. He's practically family, known him since we were in diapers. His Dad's the equipment manager.
