You probably haven't heard, but Canada advanced to the World League final (6 team tournament) for the first time ever, and are grouped in tough with world #1 Brazil and #2 Russia (also Olympic champs) on their side... just played their first game against Russia (which you can watch on Sportsnet1 right now, and if you don't want spoilers STOP READING).
Anyway, in todays game against the heavily favoured Russians, Canada was close the first two sets but dropped them both... then took the next two sets to go to a deciding set... fell down 7-2, then went on an epic 13-4 run and stole it in dramatic fashion, and a historic win.
They play Brazil tomorrow at 1:30 on Sportsnet1 if you want to set the PVR, or replays at 7pm. To advance to the semi-final they'll have to at least take them to a final set, and depending on point differential might even need the win.
