17 cars back out of F1 race

right before the US Grand Prix and Indi Raceway, Michelin announced that the tires they supplied for 17 of 23 of the race temas, were unsafe......these 17 teams then pulled outof the race, leaving 6 cars to race, including the Ferrarri's

a lot of angry people...strange event.

Just seen this on Sportsnet. Thats messed up. Scumacher(sp?) probably got his easiest win of his career.

SWEET!! Good for Ferrari and Schumacher...

Doesn't even matter anyways, Shumacher wins this race IMO.. can't mess with the power of a Ferrari and Schumacher.

Schumacher isn't Ferrari's future anyway's.. he's already brought the goods to Ferrari.. now Barichello (sp?) will carry the torch.. still can't deny that Ferrari has the best cars... nobody can touch them.

To think otherwise is just sillyness.

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Check out the Constructors standings...you'll see what I mean.

Ah hell, I'll just post them here for you to see. Keep in mind this is including today's fiasco where Ferrari picked up a lot of points:

1 Renault 76

2 McLaren-Mercedes 63

2 Ferrari 63

4 Williams-BMW 47

4 Toyota 47

6 Red Bull Racing 22

7 Sauber-Petronas 12

8 Jordan-Toyota 11

9 Minardi-Cosworth 7

Btw, it's rumoured that this is Barichello's last season with Ferrari. So much for carrying the torch huh? MS has a few good years left in him...he is Ferrari's future.

Um...I don't pay much attention to F1...but even I know that Ferrari has sure been struggling this season, and aren't a strong contender for the constructors championship. So, to think otherwise is not sillyness...in fact, it's true, at least right now.

(sorry, just saw Ang's stats...but it proves my point, they were a ways back before today's fiasco.)

Rumors... rumors... Barrichello will be with Ferrari for atleast another few seasons... you'll see.

As for Michael Schumacher, he maybe has two or three good seasons left in him.

Ferrari has been struggling, obviously. Standings may tell the story for some, but Ferrari will bounce back.. Michael has had the worst luck this season... still plenty of races to be raced.. and IMO, to count Ferrari out of the championship right now is ludacris..

this wasnt all Michelin's fault, yeah they did screw up on the tires, but the FIA has to take some blame for a 6 car race. they didnt allow the turn to be tweaked so all 23 cars could race. they didnt postpone the race, they allowed it to be a points race.there is enough blame to go around, and im sure some other people can be blamd for this fiasco.
