The Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club revealed its season ticket prices and campaign today.

Edmonton Rush 2006 season tickets will go on sale on September 24th to the general public. Season ticket prices range from $320, $280 or $240 for a lower bowl ticket, including all surcharges, plus GST. As a special incentive for buying a lower bowl season ticket, for a limited two week period, the purchaser will receive a special edition Edmonton Rush jersey , worth an approximate retail value of $100.

“A group of friends or family can enjoy many entertaining nights out for a reasonable price,” Duane Vienneau, President of the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club said. “We also wanted to give something back to the fans for all their support. Receiving an Edmonton Rush jersey not only let’s fans cheer for their team, but also have a special collector’s item from our inaugural season.”

There will be kick off event at Rexall Place launching the sale campaign on September 24. Along with selecting seats, fans will enjoy meeting Edmonton Rush players, rides on the Rush monster truck and enter to win prizing with a complete party atmosphere.

Starting September 24, season tickets can be purchased at the Edmonton Rush office, #005 – 11523 100 Ave or (780) 732-RUSH. Tickets will also be available at all Ticketmaster Outlets, Charge-by-Phone at (780) 451-8000 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.

Deposits on season tickets are only available until 10 pm Wednesday, August 31. Deposit holders will be able to select their seats before the sale to the general public. Fans will then have to wait until the season ticket launch on September 24 to purchase and select their seats. Season ticket deposits of $25 are available at all Ticketmaster Outlets, Charge-by-Phone at (780) 451-8000 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.

The jersey idea is great, I agree.

$240 is kinda steep for me but I'll see what happens...maybe my family will get 2 to share and I won't have to pay the full shot for one.

8 home, 8 road. We play Calgary 4 times guaranteed, with 2 at home.

So I think our home sched will be against Calgary, Calgary, Arizona, San Jose, Colorado, Portland, Toronto, and one other East team.

While a few teams have more expensive tix on the higher end, we have the most expensive lowest-priced-season-ticket in the league by a WIDE margin (Rochester's most expensive seat is still lower than our least expensive seat, including exchange rate ).

I thought the owners were committed to a season ticket under $200?

If they were competitive prices, or even a little higher...it would make a bit more sense due to travel requirements, but they shouldn't be THIS much .

I hope that is for a pair.... jersey be damned.... IMO thats severely overpriced. Calgary's most expensive package is over $20 less than Edmonton's cheapest. The Rush could be making the same mistake the Aviators made.

If thats what ST's are worth, I shudder to think what individual game tickets will cost.

Yeah, those are my thoughts too ......though, the Aviators didn't charge exorbitant prices, they just rented CW when they should've known they couldn't come anywhere close to filling it.

In this case, the owners were smart to rent Rexall and sell just the lower bowl...but they charged too much. They won't draw at these prices - a night out for a family of 4 at a Rush game would be about the same as for an Oilers game especially if season tix are less than individuals...if the cheapest single game day seat is $32 or whatever, the walk-up will be next to nil .

IMO, they should open the 2nd level and charge less for up there...have student/family sections, whatever, and copy the Eskimos in that regard.

I've emailed the president asking for info/explanation...hopefully I hear back from him soon.

Calgary goes $171 to $219 plus GST & facilty fee(which for Commonwealth and the Eskimos is $30) translated that means they run $215.07 to $266.43. Single Game tickets go for $22.50 or $29 plus GST & FF(since we're talking lower bowl, let's work with the $29 figure, add about $3.75 for the FF and then add GST $35 is your price.

The Rush prices in the lower bowl go from $240, $280 & $320 everything included. So I guess in the perfect world $280 would be the Rush maxxed out. As it looks gameday tickets would run from about $35-$45 in the lower bowl or about where Calgary tops out.

So yes, the Rush are bit more expensive than the Roughnecks but by no means by a ludicrous amount.

When I purchased my season ticket, the guy said all three bowls will be open for seating at the games...they have YET to release this pricing range yet. I'm assuming they will release those prices at their kickoff party on September 24th.

I'm of the opinon that while lacrosse will succeed in Edmonton the upper deck just isn't going to be necessary, although if they save the under $200 tickets just for the upper tier that does not leave them much wiggle room for pricing amongst the second bowl. IMO, second bowl corner-to-behind-the-net-seats should definitely be under $200.

I'll reserve any further opinon on Rush pricing until I see the pricing for the top two levels.

I would hope they open up the second deck... back when the Drillers were around I had tickets in the first row of the second deck around midfield and IMO those are some of the best seats in the building.

High enough up you can see all the action, but without having to put up with people in front of you.
