An amazing sports weekend!
Is this the sports weekend from Heaven, or what?
Tomorrow the missus and I are flying to Phoenix.
Saturday night we’ll be at the Vancouver-Phoenix NHL game. It’s on HNIC and I’ll be wearing my Esks’ jersey and will try to get on camera. Look for me if you’re watching the game (8 p.m. start). I’ll be the one with the huge Eskie smile on my face.
Sunday I’ll be at the Phoenix Cardinals game. Then we rush over to a friend’s place, where we’ll be guests of honour at a Grey Cup party. He’ll have the game on his TiVo.

Nov. 27 is my birthday. My son went into my esksfans.com account in the summer as a prank and changed my birthday. I had left it open and was briefly away from the computer. Thankfully, he didn’t make any inflammatory posts.
I got rep for an August birthday but didn’t deserve it so please don’t give rep Sunday or buy me a gift. Well, at least not an expensive gift. Nothing over $500. 
I was going to wait until after Nov. 27 and then change it back to the proper birthday and not say anything. I mention it because maybe it’s a good omen to have my Bday on the day that the Esks are playing for the GC. In 1993 my Bday was on GC weekend and I went to Calgary to watch them win that year.
So that’s my amazing weekend. Very exciting.
