Ovechkin for ROTY

I meant to post this the other night but forgot, for those of you that haven't seen this unbelievable goal by Alexander the Great, it's a must see. This kid is 10 times better than that little baby Crosby will ever be. Best goal ever.

He is definately the hands down favourite for ROTY. Ovechkin makes most of his goals look amazing. Sid is ok but I think playing with the likes of Lemieux, LeClair and Recchi is pressuring for him IMO.

Ovechkin hasnt been asked to put an "A" on his shoulder either.....

I dunno why everyone is so down on Crosby....Him and Ovechkin will be stars in this league IMHO much like Lemieux and Gretz...

He loves to score too, his enthusiasm is awesome to see. Very fluent in English as well.

Turning into one of my favourite players in the NHL.

The kid is what, 18 playing with the best players in the world and has is an assisstant captain (Something I disagree with but that is besides the point) AND is averaging better then a point per game, Ovechkin is two years older without the pressures of trying to be a leader on a crappy team....

If Crosby is 23 or 24 is he a whiner or is he being a leader? Give the guy some slack....None of you can tell me that you wouldnt take him on our team in half a second...

Id love him on the Oil but he would need a few smacks from teammates if he kept up that whining.

Washington is a crappy team and even though Alexander isn't wearing the 'A' or the 'C' he has around 20 goals more than the closest teammate.. that to me is being a 'leader' as well. Do you see Alex complaining to the refs game in and game out? I certainly don't. It seems Crosby complains about every little thing, now he's being labelled as a diver as well.

I'd take Ovechkin and Svatos on my team before I would take Crosby. Just my opinion...

Fair enough.....I would probably take Ovechkin before Sid as well......

How often in sports do you take a call against you without question.....I know in any sport I have played about 90% of the calls are disputed....Same goes for the rest of the NHL....When was the last time you saw Raffi Torres go to the box without complaining to the ref....I just think that Sidney gets unfairly scrutinized because of who he is....Wait till he is 20-22 and see what kind of player he is....

Anyways....opinion is opinion....and that is mine...

No, I think it would be best if I sat this one out haha

I will say one thing. With all the "physicality" Ovechkin brings, he certainly can quit pretty easy if you knock him around. He might throw hits, he certainly can't take them. Crosby is a hell of a lot tougher than that dancing queen.

But thats my opinion after watching them both play live a couple of times.
