Fajardo is only on a one year deal which leaves a lot riding on this year. It will be hard for the team to move on should he become a fan favorite and lead the team to a playoff win. Not so much if they miss the post season again.

In my opinion, the only reason Cody Fajardo would have been talking about retirement is due to not having a juicy contract on the table to sign. I could see another 3 years with good health....
