I’d imagine if the team had an issue with Ivey and this passport situation, we’d know about it. That he’s back in camp and not released or moved gives me the impression Jones was well apprised with the situation and accepted it - or,...

Eighteen cuts today, including a few names I thought could stick around. Hutchins, Harry, Coates, Lucas, Cimankinda and Begue among the notables. It will be interesting if any land on PR.

I know I was missing someone when I looked at the depth chart. The Appolons were it....

No Pelley, Hutter, or Grymes that I can see, but otherwise this seems like how it might be shaking out.

Manny was productive last year and he managed to grind out good yards after catch. Being a vet, he might accept the depth and the role better than a newcomer. I could see him returning still.
I wonder about Coates’ conditioning. That...

It is frustrating, but I do think we played fewer guys who are going to be around. Felt like Locksley made some decent throws late, including Cobb TD.

Purifoy is no raw rookie, and I’m pretty sure Grymes played some of his best football at corner. You’ve also got Harry in the mix as a CFL vet and those two former KC Chiefs in camp, plus lots of good recruits. The DBs will be fine, and...

I don't know if I agree completely. Kai Locksley did go to NFL camp as a wide receiver and had some catches in an exhibition game, though Miami may have been intrigued with him as a gadget-type player. His athleticism is a bigger asset than his pocket...

I thought he was one of the better receivers the first half. That really speaks to the upgrades there. Interesting because they really seemed hesitant to use him under centre, other than on short yardage....

I see Ivey is on the suspended list alongside Francis, Maybe the Churchill deal is related. Getting a former first rounder who is local to help fill a hole is a good move.

What do we think of Milanovich being back in the CFL as an assistant in Hamilton?

There was some comfort with Castillo's experience, but he commanded a decent salary and counted against the ratio as an American. I thought Domagala was good enough to do all three jobs in a pinch and I'd imagine Jones really must like Faithfull to use...Last edited by BeaverSports; 05-04-2023, 03:19 PM.

It’s interesting that for all the talking heads saying Jones loves the NCAA pedigree, Edmonton’s draft was very CIS/USports-centric. I wonder if there’s some thought those guys are further ahead in the Canadian game or if the strategy...

I was really hoping Taylor would be there at 18. Strong, versatile leader. There’s a lot to like today.

At first, I was a bit disappointed not going to Uguak or Bemiy at 2, but the more I read Brodrique has some great upside and athleticism. Some of the guys on the Wheaties board who watch CIS really hoped they’d get him. It sounds like he may be...Last edited by BeaverSports; 05-02-2023, 07:07 PM.

I really like the Zierer pick. It could really pay off if he doesn't get an NFL deal.
