The D really stepped up in the second half, and Rankin came up huge. Some great blocking by receivers also. It was ugly, but they won another close one. Clearly this is a confident bunch under pressure, and that’s a good thing.

Absolutely. If you gamble and score, you’re even and getting the ball in the third. Even if you don’t score, they’re hemmed in and likely don’t get points.

Third and one that close with that little time left, I keep my offence on every time - especially in a game when you’ve already converted on third down.

Yeah, a bit of a frustrating situation there. Yes, he embellished, but I’ve also seen pushes like that called the other way too. The thing that bugs me - and it does in hockey too - is the subjectivity of it all.
