Re: The Edmonton Police Service is pathetic...
I can't say I agree with you Diesel.
The Diotte mess is totally blown out of proportion and the Calgary Police Service cleared the EPS on it.
The worst thing that occurred was incorrect radio procedures. Foul language is not un-ethical. It is more like workplace banter that occurs around water fountains at work everyday in every walk of life. Un-professional? YES. Un-ethical- NO.
The Police were responding to a complaint. It wasn't like they were pouring the drinks down Diott's throat. The only thing that saved him was another reporter whom was entrusted with an encrypted police radio tipped him and his pal off.
I hope that reporter get charged as he was entrusted with that piece of equipment. With it comes laws, one of which is they do not get involved or in the way of any police operation.
The whole problem with the Overtime situation is the Police are restricted to what they can say. The other two clowns can chirp as much as they want and spread miss-information through the media.
The Police Commissioner was in allot of trouble and that is the real reason he stepped down. By accepting the job that he did he can no longer be held liable for offering the Police Chief's position to the person in Kelowna. It was careful maneuvering on his part which the media failed to report on.
