On a more serious note...I know very few men that haven't at least once been subjected to this kind of crap from a women or worse. I know a lot of men who have been physically assaulted by a women at least once.

So why is it that men are always the villains when it comes to the issue of "family violence"?

Because they're bigger, stronger, and do it more.

Not sure I'm up for a debate today; I'm sick, going to Calgyra tomorrow and moving house. But it stands to reason that if most men are physically stronger than most women, then the opportunity for physical violence in that direction will be greater.

Nothing about men being worse than women. Just more opportunity = more occurrences.

Not saying that it doesn't happen the other way. But on the physical violence side, I'd be very surprised if it was even close to 50-50.

              Regardless if it's 60-40 or 70-30, it's portrayed as 100-0.

Maybe by some people. Not by me, or from my impression of the media in general.

I'd be looking forever to find anywhere that doesn't always portray men as the perps of domestic violence all the time.

I guess we'll agree to differ. I'm just too tired to do a media search right now.

IMO, Its right there with erectile dysfunction as far as embarrasement for guys. I've heard the odd story like Tanya Harding taking a hub-cap to her hubby and Chuck Finley who got smacked around by Tawny Kitaen. Both these guys were made out to be losers. Wouldn't make me want to go public with something like that. And as others have said, its far harder to inflict pain on a man then the other way around.

                        As George Carlin said:

There is such a thing as battered husband syndrome. It usually happes when the woman is very big, the man is quite small, and they each drink about a quart of whiskey a day!
