    Maxim's Journalistic Integrity?

Apparently they have none. Big surprise. Was someone actually reading the articles?

    Still, this is so stupid.

Maxim issues apology over bogus review

The review in its March issue gave Warpaint a rating of two and a half stars out of five and said the album "hasn't left Chris Robinson and the gang much room for growth."

But the Black Crowes criticized the magazine over the review, pointing out that the reviewer could not have heard more than one song, as it had not released advance copies.

In an e-mail to Black Crowes manager Pete Angelus, Maxim described the review as "an educated guess preview."

I never thought I'd hear the words "Maxim" and "journalistic integrity" in the same sentence!
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

      WHAT?

Next you're going to tell me their photographs are airbrushed too I suppose?!?!

Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

If I were the Crowes I would sue. Who knows how many ignorant rednecks read that drool cup of a magazine and have decided not to buy the album based solely on their poor review?

If your get your music reviews from Maxim, then you suck. In fact, if you buy that mag to look at chicks, when you could buy Penthouse, you suck even worse.

Still, people have sued the Inquirer based on false stories and who considers that rag to be a trusted news source?
