I don't know how many of you (students) got this.

Effective February 1, 2005 you can access your 2004 T2202A (Tuition and Education Amount Certificate) Form on the University of Alberta Bear Tracks service. This form will no longer be mailed out. It will be available in PDF format, and you will be able to view and print it off using simple on-screen instructions.

To access your T2202A go to https://www.beartracks.ualberta.ca and follow the steps below:

1. Login to Bear Tracks
2. Navigate to 'Personal Portfolio'
3. Follow the 'T2202A Tax Forms' link

Please note you do not have to include this form when filing your income tax. However, you can print a copy from Bear Tracks if needed for your records or to transfer credits to a third party. The form on Bear Tracks has been approved by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and the approval number is displayed on the form.

Ah, good old university.

You know, in my day, a student loan was used for buying a new stereo system and subsidizing the purchase of unholy amounts of draft beer. And you'd never have to pay it back.

Now you young punks have to use it for boring things like food and rent. And it will take you 20 years to clear that mountain of debt.

Ah ... nothing like the Alberta Advantage ...

Ahh, that's my recollection as well....loan disbursement day was a great day.

IIRC there were also relatively large chunks of money given as grants rather than as loans. Is that no longer the case either?

First year I went to the U of A, I paid $776 tuition. And that wasn't all that long ago...1983.

OK, maybe it was a while ago now!
