Depends what you're looking to do with it... if it's serious gaming, PC would be the way to go.

    Otherwise, I'd go with Mac

I work on a Mac at work. It works well enough. But its a myth that they are easier to use or more intutative. I've had just as many issues with it as with my Vista PC. And there are definitely compatibilty problems, as well as a lack of software.

Plus, if you game, you have to have a PC.

In the end, they both have issues, and both have positives. Mac fanboys like to praise them as the second coming, but Mac OSX is just as problematic as Vista, IMO, and has just as many issues.

Whatever operating system you're accustomed to is the one you're going to advocate. It'll feel more natural to you, naturally.

The more obscure an OS is, the more vehement its supporters will be that they are the greatest. Call it the Rider fans syndrome.

My advice? Choose the system that you know best. And cheer for the Eskimos.

          Vista blows chunks.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

I use both and there are some features of the Mac that I really like that PC doesn't have - like "click and drag" for pictures. Downloading of pictures from my digital camera is simple and fast on a Mac. But, it's like people here have said, whatever you feel most comfortable with. Since I have no use for gaming, I could care less about PC for that. However, with PC having so much of the market, I can see where software compatability for the Mac would be a problem.

Hell, I took the MacBook here to Radium and when I tried to listen to the post-game interviews from the Esks locker room on CHED, it took me a minute to realize they use Windows Media Player in order for you to listen live to the CHED broadcasts from the website. I was wondering why I couldn't get it on the Mac. So, since I am equipped with both, I just switched over to the Windows environment on the MacBook and viola!

To me, in a nutshell, it's all a matter of personal preference or what you want to be able to do with your computer.

You can also use a program like VM-Ware Fusion... it allows you to run Windows right in your Mac OS.

I've got Windows XP installed (it's a brand new MacBook and I insisted on Windows XP, not Vista) and a program called "Parallels" that lets you switch over from the Mac to the PC operating environment and run Windows on my Mac operating system (Leopard) without shutting your machine down. Works like a charm, and sure did for me on Thursday night.

I have Vista and I've never had a problem with it, it works great.

I think Vista works fine as well. And Mac OSX doesn't have a taskbar which is a huge minus, IMO.

Maybe you guys should just stop downloading porn and your computer would stop crashing.

                          Is that what causes it?

                          S**t. Never thought of that!

I hated Macs at first but unless you are a big gamer then Macs are certainly the way to go. Or if you choose to go PC use Linux to run it or something of the sort.

You could choose Linux.....or you could just save yourself the time and trouble and just light your computer on fire.
