Oh, I am sure we are missing something incredibly intelligent about how Fox News must be good because it makes lots of money.

Of course, the most profitable talk radio is ultra conservative talk radio, so why would it be surprising that ultra conservative opinions disguised as TV news would be popular? When your ideas are that weak, your party is in shambles . Your ideas have run their course, and more and more you have become a small tent party unified by who we hate instead of our ideas you need to have like minded people reinforce those "ideas".

As the world shakes off swine flu fears that started in Mexico, Obama noted his old rivalry with former Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, who now serves as secretary of state.

"We had been rivals during the campaign, but these days we could not be closer," the president said. "In fact, the second she got back from Mexico, she pulled me into a hug and gave me a big kiss -- told me to get down there myself."

Obama even took on former Vice President Dick Cheney, who wasn't in attendance: "He is very busy working on his memoirs, tentatively titled, "How to Shoot Friends and Interrogate People."

"Across the country, there are extraordinary, hardworking journalists who have lost their jobs in recent days, recent weeks, recent months," he said. "I know each newspaper and media outlet is wrestling with how to respond with these changes. ... Not every ending will be a happy one.

I'm not speculating on the inner working of the President's, uh, activities. But if I were the most powerful man in the world, I'd do that 3 minutes after I got the keys to the place.

If I were Bush II I would have changed the carpet first, then gotten busy.

Especially since the values in that 9/12 from Glenn Beck seem to be practised by Obama more than a lot of republicans these days. They're good values. Too bad the republicans of the last 10 years turned out to be ****ing crooks.

As for Fox News, I wouldn't be surprised to see most news stations - and I use that term lightly when referring to Fox - to see a jump in ratings during the recession. Sadly, it's where a lot of people get their news.

How can you denounce the Fox News network as a real news outlet when their latest attack on the President was for using Dijon mustard on his hamburger and on how that was unforgivably unamerican.

I'm fairly to the right of center but Fox News is too National Enquirer for me. The do have a decent stable for fine looking news babes to report the, ummmmmmm news?
