    Chili Peppers Tour

    Holy ****,

    RHCP has announced the cities for their upcoming tour and Saskatchewan is actually included (Saskatoon). I was a huge fan in high school (Mother's Milk and BSSM are still my two all-time favorite discs) and can't wait to finally get the chance to see them live. I'm still kicking myself for missing the year they did Lollapalooza (with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, et al). However, I will admit I'm not as huge a fan as I was back in the day (while musically they are better, they just seem to be missing the frenetic energy of their earlier days). I guess getting off heroine will do that to a person . But they're new video (Dani California) is freaking hilarious.

    Anybody see them before? What were they like? Any idea what tickets for them cost?
    It's gonna be legen... wait for it, and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second half of the word is ...dary....

    Sweet. I couldn't believe they were coming through Sask either. About frickin time more bands started coming through this way.

          Thanks to the increased value of the beaver buck, more bands are touring Canada
          I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

              Most bands do but only cause our biggest seating facility holds a max of 7500. Saskatoon can hold about 14,000. That is the only reason. Most of the people at a Saskatoon concert are Regina folk.

                        Though some bands might misinterpret 'beaver buck' as something totally different - but still an incentive for the tour.

                        Oy - the thought of Saskatchewan groupies...but then if they've played in Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas or Kansas substitute pickin' corn out the teeth with wheat and they already have seen it before.

                              Haven't really liked much o' their stuff after Blood Sugar Sex Magik, personally.. and really, I thought Freaky Styley was their best by a mile.. They got a bit too "Adult Alternative" fer me after '92..
