Maybe I had to see it for myself, and I really hate complaining about the refs, but I guess I have had my eyes opened to what some of you have been saying about the reffing in BC Lion games...staggering...phantom calls on the Bombers, and no calls on clear as day penalties on them...pretty ridiculous.

I am not gonna say it is rigged, but there is definitely something screwy that happens to the refs towards the visiting team at BC Place.

At least we came home with a win, being the most "overrated team in the league" as one poster on here claimed...I mean it wasn't against their third stringer with half their secondary, and their best LB on the sidelines, but hey we will take it anyway

BC almost ALWAYS gets beneficial if not larcenous reffing at home. I say that about no other team and heaven knows I dislike at least 3 or 4 teams more than I dislike BC.

Good for Winnipeg for getting the win. The only bad thing to come out of this is that the Riders are tied for 1st and their fans are all walking around with swelled heads.

I said BC was the most over-rated team in the CFL.

You gotta love how they call penalties as well, at the end of the half no call was coming and the BC player campaigned for it. He got the call (PI), it was the right call but why doesn't that work for other teams?

BC is on pace for one PI call over 18 games.

It does seem something is really screwy in BC...Its sad really, we have such a strong league right now, and its sucess has to be marred by incompent reffing and denial that they are screwing up.

The officiating is horrid in just about any game you care to name. The biases come from the fact that we all have pro and anti thoughts about any given team.

In the 70s and 80s, you could not have convinced me that the Esks weren't paying the Refs off. Now when I see those games on DVD, I see how ridiculous those thoughts were.

The League needs to get serious about officiating. Perhaps ask the NFL to do it on a trial basis. That way we could hate NFL Officials as much as we do ours.

What happens in BC is above and beyond what happens elsewhere.

Once Braley is gone things will return to normal.

Nope, the last 4 or 5 years it has been way one sided in BC place. Like I said I dislike alot of other team more than the lions but I simply can't say that I felt the Esks have been screwed in any other stadium. BC place is different.

When it comes to football, officials based out of their home cities tend to favor the home team by osmosis. This happens in the CFL, CIS, Junior football and the like. What frustrates me is that in Edm from the juniors on up, officials seem to go out of their way to show how not biased they are for their home team that they seem to continually shaft the home team. This just isn't an eskimos issue, the bears , Huskies and Wildcats have had the same issues

Yup. That's right we did it. We're guilty. We paid the refs off to lose the last 2 games at home. Busted!
