I hope everything is okay with her. Never want to see anyone have problems that cause hospitalization....

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

Wow. I see the headline of the thread and think, this has gotta help us get that playoff position.

Then I read the article, and that just doesn't seem important anymore.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

          Agreed completely on all counts.

Best wishes to the family. See, sports aren't all that important all things considered.

I can't help but think that this thread would have 20 posts by now if you substitute Esks' Machoochoo for Als' Calvillo and senses for absence.

Sounds serious, hope things go well for his wife and him.

I wonder if Macioica is going to hug Jason Maas when he puts the Esks out of the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row?

I'm betting Calvillo plays this weekend anyway.

Thoughts are with his family. Way more important things in life than football. Hope all is o.k

Alexia Calvillo, wife of Montreal Alouettes' quarterback Anthony Calvillo, has been diagnosed with a B-cell lymphoma.

Doctors confirmed the diagnosis Thursday and she will begin chemotherapy treatments immediately, followed by radiotherapy. It is a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma which is treatable.

''We would like to thank all fans who have sent in messages and prayers,'' said Anthony Calvillo, who has taken a leave of absence to be with his family. ''We remain optimistic and want to thank everyone for their respect.''

Young family and all, this is tough for anybody.
