No Eskimos.....not a single one, I'm kinda disappointed. We didn't have a great season, but I thought a few guys on our team were worthy of nominations, like Shabazz, Goss, or Kamau, even Ray...

It's really tough to argue for any of the Esks vs the west choices.

The one guy if anyone from the Esks that probably deserved it was Shabbaz.

Lead the west in tackles.

Shabbazz - 73 tackles
Lloyd - 65 tackles
Floyd - 61 tackles
Hunt - 60 tackles

That is your lot in life though when the team wins a whopping 5 games all year.

Hamilton has 2 wins and they get 4 guys. The Esks may only have 5 wins but we looked a hell of a lot better then them. Petersen, Shabazz or even Kabongo could have been considered.

Hamilton has 2 wins and they get 4 guys. The Esks may only have 5 wins but we looked a hell of a lot better then them. Petersen, Shabazz or even Kabongo could have been considered.

Don't forget that the west is stronger so it's harder to be chosen as an all-star. I'd say that maybe a couple of Esks might have made the western team, but it's not been a banner season. CFL all-stars? Not sure any of our guys should be on that team.

I like that no Esks were chosen. I hope it will fuel the fire that should be burning in their bellies for next season.

edit: A couple of others sort of said the same thing as I was writing my message. It makes me feel good when brainy Glen agrees with me.

I was trying to think of Esks that should have been nominated and really could not come up with any that stood out as all stars. Had Ray and Tucker been able to play full seasons healthy maybe. No one on our Oline should even be mentioned when it comes to all stars as well

Shabazz, and perhaps Kamau, should've been there. Other than that, it's tough to make a case for anybody.
