    Omar Morgan back to Riders

Guess he was homesick. Wonder if they had to take him at the salaray he was getting in Edmonton?

Did they trade Joseph just so they could bring him back?

So... the the RFR say that he's not going to be getting what he was paid with Edm, it's an admission that he's not as good as the $$ would dictate - which is rather what we were saying.

        fascinating.

        - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
        - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
        - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."

I'd like to see the NHL adopt the no guarenteed contracts.

Teams are able to cut underperforming players without being on the hook for the salary. Players have to maintain a high standard of play for a high standard of pay.

Meh, if he can make the team, rock and roll. If not, at least he gets one last chance to show his skills for someone else. He may not be good enough to start anymore (he is over 30), but he can definitely be a nickel back and a depth move, provided he isn't making what he was last year.

Not terribly impressed, not terribly upset.

But if you want to talk about major former Riders signing, Hamilton picked up the human pylon Charles Thomas!

              I wouldn't.

You know, being all reasonable and stuff is making it increasing difficult to work up a good hate on for your ilk
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

Too bad the players don't really have any..
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

I think there is more accountablity on the player's part that way. The GM and the team pays for the mistake for only one season.

I agree... and really defeats the purpose of signing long term deals. I'd imagine you'd see even more player movement then already exists, as there is no reason for players to sign 3 or 4 years days when the team can just up and cut their ass at the drop of a hat. Though players could probably benefit from increased bidding wars, there is no guarantee those deals will be honoured.

I'd actually like the CFL/CFLPA to do a bit more to protect their players... guys making on average 1.8M a year getting cut shouldn't put them in any kind of financial trouble.... while the situation here is improving, they can feel a pinch in a hurry if they get cut mid-season and not picked up.

                        I'll put it this way:

Think of all the stupid ****, contract wise, we see today.

Now, imagine if there were no long-lasting repercussions?

Put it this way. If Morgan makes the team and starts at corner, I will have legitimate concerns about our secondary.

Morgan has not been very good the last 2-3 years.

Well hopefully, the coach gives Morgan a big hug everyday so his time on the team is more "personable".
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.
