Most of them don't like him or trust him.

Neither do a few former colleagues
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Neither do more than a few fans around the league

Say what you want about Shivers, I actually liked having him in the league, you always knew where you stood with that guy, and he spoke his mind. I give him credit for that.

You don't have to agree with it, but at least he seemed upfront.

More than a few I think.

That said, he is excellent at what he does, nobody can argue with his success. His shark like methods don't make many friends though.

What is funny is that he always talks about everyone like he is great friends with them. I bet most of them hate his guts.

Yeah, he is direct, but he also has a dark side which could have gotten him in hot water too. He is slick in his own way too. Although I should qualify that his actions were not in the same vein as ET's current problems. Shivers is VERY "street smart" and is very intelligent under the surface, he is no dummy.

He also burns bridges with other teams by being outspoken which severely limits trading partners and so forth.

Entertaining guy and is an absolute gem to talk to. Personable, hilarious and actually very kind. He just shouldn't be in charge of a football team for reasons I won't get into.

He's right where he belongs, a talent scout.

That said, details will get out and his reputation will get dragged through the mud because it appears that this event is not easily explained away.

Win, lose or draw, I can't see him as GM in the future.

At least the players will rejoice if he leaves. Most of them don't like him or trust him.
I'm not going to speak for anyone else but myself, but that is how I initially perceived this situation. What happens in or out of court will play out, but it is pretty clear for charges to be pressed that "something" happened. How it gets explained is a matter of interpretation from either side.

Hard questions are fair to be asked IMO.....and those who were dismissive and falling back on the strict defense of "innocent until proven" guilty are doing a dis-service by not asking some of the questions themselves. If he is fully exonerated, then fine.....but don't let bias cloud your judgment, strictly because that's what you want to be true.
