    Bombers sign Charles Rogers?

Former # 2 overall NFL draft pick, 2 broken collar bones in 2 successive years, issues with his attitude and work ethic at the NFL level. Was suspended for positive drug tests as well.

Boy, the Bombers are building some kind of turd collection.

Pacman will have company in Winnipeg
Posted by Mike Florio on September 2, 2009 10:06 AM ET
As it turns out, Pacman Jones won't be the only flamed-out former top-ten draft bust who plays for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2009.

According to David Naylor of the Globe & Mail, Charles Rogers is joining the Blue Bombers, too.

Yes, that Charles Rogers. The second overall pick in the 2003 draft. A man with legal issues of his own, making us even more curious as to whether the folks in Canada have relaxed their supposedly high standards regarding the closing of the borders to bad boys from the U.S.A.

Rogers hasn't played football since 2005. His first two seasons were marred by broken collarbones, which possibly are made brittle by chronic marijuana use.

As of August 2007, three CFL teams reportedly were interested in Rogers. He flirted with the Montreal Alouettes in the 2008, but the deal never materialized.

Meanwhile, Taco Bill has obtained an exclusive photo of Pacman's arrival in his new Canadian home.

I thought that said Charles Roberts there for a second.

Gotta wonder where the cap space is coming from. Rogers likely won't last. He could potentially come on in the same fashion that Teyo Johnson has with the Stamps, but he was always a little slow for the wide receiver position and had questionable hands. I don't see how that would translate over to the Canadian game.

Wasn't the excuse of having to cut LeFors salary because they were up against the SMS cap wall?

        WTF?

without a doubt the best excuse for an injury.

I'm surprised and disappointed the CFLPA didn't go to bat a little bit for Stefan.

if they do come i'm sure there will be cuts to make the budget wrk. but the bomers will see these guys only care about themselves not the league, the teams, the other players, these 2 are just looking for some wrk. which is fine but i belive that if your a team that has alot of issues and are re builting. don't you want to stock up on fresh new talent not ex nflers who are just idiots. well i don't this rogers guy but jones c'mon.

At this point the Bummers have two options...
                        1. write off the season and begin rebuilding in earnest.
                        2. do what it takes to secure 3rd in the East and hold off a crossover and then worry about rebuilding in the off season.

                        Looks like they've chosen #2.

                        GeeBrr is likely unconsolable now.

Well, I know the brunt of the ire has gone towards Kelly too, but I'm going to level it all on Bauer. He's where it all started.

Let's not forget the soon to be confirmed rumors that started when we were heading into the East final last year. He got the wheels in motion by tampering, and it's been a ride of filth ever since it seems.....
