    A "what if" poll

    Okay... I know most here would prefer The Esks in the west final, and honestly with a win next week they give themselves a pretty legit shot at it, but say for some reason that doesn't happen. (Esks cross over or lose the WSF)

    So the west final is Calgirly (patent pending) and Sask.

    Who do you root for to get to The Cup?

    I know I'd like to see ANY western team (even the $#%&su$%ing Lions) other than The Stamps play in a Calgary-hosted GC... but I'm interested in who on this site might be rooting for my team if this situation played out...

        I'd be cheering for a crater to suddenly open up at midfield and suck down both teams in one fell swoop.

                  I'm a Rider fan through and through... but if they're not in the Cup game, I'l gladly cheer for The Esks or Lions. (if it's Calgirly I cheer for for the east)

                  Always give props to the wild wild west is my motto. (unless it's Calgirly, but if they got rid of Nik Lewis and the rest of the dancing queens I might reconsider)

                  I remember in 2003 and my band BILF played a bunch Regina Grey Cup events, I was HATED in my own home town for saying on stage that I was rooting for The Esks... but I don't like seeing The Grey Cup go to the woman's division. (except last year it woulda been nice)

                    ABC.

                    And seeing as how the Grey Cup is in cowtown; this year is even more so. I'd love to see ANYBODY beat the Stamps in the Western Final and move into their dressing room for a week...

                      It doesn't matter to me at that point, I would be cheering for both teams to sustain so many injuries that no matter which team goes to the Cup, the Als would end up playing their 4th stringers.......

                      Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

                        You're in BILF? Man I've seen you guys more times that I can think of!!!

                        Anyways, this is what seperates you from MOST Riderfans. If I had grown up in an environment where Riderfans respected the Esks, I can guarantee I would not harbour the hatred for them I have today. It's because my team has been treated to 30+ years of disrespect. I have too been told many times that a Rider fan would cheer for the East over the Esks. So today, I will cheer for ANYONE over the Riders because of that.

                        Considering the Esks have been the pride and success of the CFL for 30 some years, a little respect is the minimum they should be shown. Well at least until DM came along.....

                        Alot of Rider folk don't understand how i grew up in Sask and hate them so much. They brought it on themselves. They only have themselves to blame. There is a huge difference between a "friendly rivalry" and the hatred and disrespect I've witnessed for so many years.

                        I'm glad to hear that you would respect Edmonton enough to cheer for them, Christ, that's a very positive thing to hear.
