CFL Sports Select Odds out to lunch again

    WPG @ BC

    WPG - 2.60
    BC - 2.20

So lemme get this straight, a team that can't buy a win this season is suddenly going to upset the league's #1 defense????

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

If you think the odds are out of whack, bet... that's why they put them out there
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

Well, historically a lot of teams struggle in BC at later hours (didn't bother Hamilton this year, mind). There are some over-lying factors that often matter more in betting than how good teams look at the moment. Also almost a back-to-back most of which are split.

That said, I'm expecting to win this one. Saw BC as 1 point favourites somewhere, as well. Since default is 3 points to the home team, it is actually expecting a Bomber win, in a weird way.

Your first mistake is betting Sports Select.

Your second mistake is assuming bookies don't know their own job.

Your third mistake is not capping the game other than looking at win-loss records.

            But good luck.

BC is something like 3-8 at Empire Stadium. Add that into the mix too guys.

My father-in-law bets small amounts of money regularily for fun. He makes a little money on football, which he loves and has followed forever. He makes good money on Basketball where he simply looks at facts like how often that team has won in the arena.

I flatter myself that I anticipate underdogs every now and again, but he's right. If you care about a sport, your odds are worse.

In the last 2 seasons, I've made more than I lost.

Well picking a huge underdog to be the favourite doesn't make much sense to me.

It's not just win-loss record. BC sucks this year. Winnipeg does not. They are tearing every offence in the league to shreds.

I dunno, I'll play my system and let you know how I did at the end of the weekend. Only time can tell!!!!

I am just glad Brent Johnson decided to voice his opinion on our team, I was really worried this would be a "trap" game.

Nothing big really, just saying that he felt our team hasn't earned the right to get all over this Swaggerville stuff, and that we are more concerned about selling T-shirts, or something to that effect.

Enough that it should remind the boys that they haven't earned anything, and that they gotta keep fighting for that respect.

With the big game last week, our record, flying to the West coast, the bye week next week, some of the injuries, BC's record, and the hype around us this week, I was worried this would be a trap game.

I think he has made sure our D will be on point. We haven't earned anything yet, we have to earn it every week, just glad he reminded them of that.

Just to add to that, apparently the BC Lions official twitter has guaranteed victory.

I guess they didn't learn from Paris Jackson doing the same thing a few weeks ago.

                          See you Saturday, BC.

Still you have to get multiple games correct compared to a Vegas bookie that lays odds on a per game basis. I would hazard a guess that if they went by standard odds it wouldn't be a played game by many folks.

Don't bookies want to try to make sure that it's a 50-50 split on bets to hedge against each other? I'd have to guess that part of the reason for the current odds is to entice more people to bet a particular way...and as things start to even up, the odds (for new bets placed) will start to change.
