    Buck needs a new agent!

    Look, I want to be clear that I am VERY happy to have Buck as our starting QB. I also understand that agents talk big, but wondering why the club hasn't offered him a huge long term contract before Labour Day? Comparing him with Calvillo?

    We're building a team that can win quite a bit with just a decent QB, we aren't going to over-pay to keep a good one because he's won 5 games, and played great in the last couple. We'll talk to you (Cox) in November.

    IMO its due to his injury history and they're waiting to see if he can last a season before offering him big bucks ( tee hee ). I wouldn't want to throw 400k to a QB who can only last 1/2 the season.

    I'd think they are still very much worried about his injury past. And come on who actually thought he'd last 1/2 a season without getting hurt ?

      Strangely enough, I DID think he'd last, but still, it's pretty obvious why the club is waiting. I think this guy wants to get in the press, more than anything...

        Way back when, didn't the Bombers give Khari Jones a HUGE contract mid-season... maybe he's angling for one of those. Of course, IIRC they also traded him before the season was out too.

          The poor guy is just an injury magnet. I remember when they were playing Edmonton early in the game he was knocked out of bounds and tried to stay on his feet stumbling and bumbling and ultimately throwing himself head-first into a stationary bike. Half of me is terrified for the guy, the other half can't keep from laughing at the absurdity of it.

            $125K - $200K for a starting QB...no wonder the Bombers are looking so good across the board. They have cap dollars to spend.

              i don't think he's worth Ray or AC kinda money. sorry bomberfans one head shot away from being a veggie. too risky
