    thoughts on Calgary/Ottawa

I was under the assumption the Stampeders had a strong defence...Ranek made them look like Swiss cheese. I couldn't believe how many missed tackles I saw Stamps commit.

Joseph looked awesome, he plays behind arguably one of the worst o-lines in the CFL(mainly due to the fact they can't keep the same 5 guys week in & week out) but just keeps his compusure. He got sacked about 5 times and ran the ball more than half a dozen times because it was either run or throw the ball out of bounds. None of it seemed to phase him though.

Burris on the other hand looked timid, lost and scared. The CBC announcers preached patience to the Calgary fans but with the Stamps next game at home against Saskatchewan Burris is a marked man. If he looks half as timid against the pumped up Riders next week, well, I'm glad I'm not a Stamp fan.

All in all though it was a fun game to watch.

oh, I forgot to mention Brett Ralph(related to Brock Ralph) drafted by Neddy and the Stamps solely because of his relation to Brock, the guy didn't even play football last year...darn he looked good tonight!!

The Stamps D is overrated. They gave up an assload of points last year.

Josh Ranek put up Madden 05 numbers on them today...at one point he had like 7 carries for 140 yards...a 20 average!!!!

          Brett Ralph did look good.

Little Ball of HATE! Ranek with 205 yds from scrimmage.

This game really scared me though - these Renegades are going to make sure next week is NOT going to be like week 1.

Ranek looked pretty good out there...but i was really impressed with Kerry Joseph, he made good decisions and had confidence in himself tonight..he also continued his great running ability.

Ottawa's D also showed they could play well once again, even with injuries...they made Burris turn over the ball, and that always makes me happy.

Clagary looked terrible in the first half...they showed up in the second from the part i saw, but i think they can do better, the D tackled well for the most part...but their secondary was sloppy and got lucky with a few dropped passes from the gades receivers...

            overall...Gades win, Stamps lose....good game

The Stamps have a good D. But when Burris goes 2 and out that leaves the D on the field for a long time. The d-line was exhausted.

Burris is holding the Stamps back. He looked awful. The Riders made a stink over nothing.

I hated how the commentators kept saying Burris and his receivers werent in sync yet so thats why there were dropping passes. Thats why you have practice. Well, Im not sure if Ottawa just got really good since playing Edmonton or if Calgary is getting ****tier every week. Cant way to play those hicks.

With how the Gades have played the last three weeks, the Esks better be prepared; that game isn't going to be a cake-walk.

I think we will be OK with OTT, our D is a different story compared to who they have played.

Calgary is in for a long year, I think that they will be last in the west. Burris looked terrible for a guy who is supposedly a star and going to help Calgary be a winner....

I hope fans start turning up to watch this renegade team.

If there was ever a game this year that should have been a cakewalk it was last one. I won't be thinking that we will smoke anyone for the rest of the year.

I'm pleased with the Gades' win, partly cuz they beat the Stamps, but also because they might have had a lot of pressure to perform against us next week if they'd lost. Hopefully a little complacency sinks in over there, while Coach Mac chews our guys out for their sorry performance this week.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

                            I agree.

The way the Renegades have played at home so far should help get some more fans out.

Between Burris, Neddy, and Burritos incomprehensible O plan, the stamp fans should begin scheduling their effigy burning now. What an embarrasment for the fans who were around for " Wally ball". Any respect the stumps had before is becoming a faded memory. If it weren't so pitiful it would be funny.
