Oh puleeze, Roberts turns countless players inside out. Not many defenders in this league are a match for Roberts one on one. Gass certainly wasn't the only one to get burned by him in the last game. I'd definitely agree that Gass hasn't played great the last couple games, but he's also had some very good games this season...that's just the way the entire defense has been this season - VERY INCONSISTENT and seriously underachieving because it was almost the exact same group of guys who were arguably the best D in the league last year.

Absolutely none of on defense have really stood out on a regular basis and stepped up to take control for the majority of the season, that's what has been frustrating. Malcom Frank is really the only exception because of his awesome INT record...but even still, he has had a lot of missed tackles this year too.

Then again, the same can be said for offense - EXTREMELY underachieving, especially with all that talent and the great numbers Maas has put up...the same team will light it up one game and only have ONE first down in an entire half the next game. Hense the reason this team finished 9-9.

That's all great that they were arguably they best D last year but they have not even been close this year. Don't get me wrong on A.J...he has been a very good Eskimo, great attitude, wears his heart on his sleave, great guy etc. However he has lost a step and age and injuries play a part. They need to get stronger up the middle and i'm sure it will get addressed in the off season. He was not the starting middle linebacker out of camp and I really think this will be it for him in G & G
