How to solve our import/non-import issue

Get rid of ****ing Tompkins. Get rid of kick returners altogether. We get the ball where it lands. God knows...we'd probably end up with better field position then we do with Tompkins running 10 yards further back before getting ****ing tackled.

I'm so sick of him I could puke.
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

I agree, Tompkins hasn't improve a bit from last year. I thought with the blocking/kick returns rules change, Tompkins would turn back to the form he was back in 2005.

i lost my noodle about 10 times with tompkins tonight.... he was worst than terrible.... JUST GO FORWARD FOR CHRIST SAKES!!!! at least you'll get 5-10 yards that way, instead of losing yards each and every return.... and its not like tonight is the 1st time either, he's been doing it all season (except for the 1st game) and all of last year as well

      just.... go.... forward

And then the one time he does, he gets big yardage. But could we possibly LEARN from that? Hell, no.

I'm very happy with the effort of every player on the Eskimos, but Tompkins. Then again, I'd hardly call him a player. He's useless.

I'd hardly call him useless. He was a very key player in the Esks championship team from two years ago. Without it's conceivable they don't win the GC.

FTR, I've defended this guy for a long time (or at least didn't criticize him...) but I'm at the point now where I'd like to see Acree or Ebell or Stamps or Bradley or anyone of about ten other players return punts for a few games.
I suggest sitting TNT for two games to get his attention and see if it helps his game.

He was a one year wonder IMO, time to move on. We can't afford to have someone who only does one thing.

Fine, he's CURRENTLY useless. Two years ago, he was useful. Two years ago, condoms were useful. I went to a nice doctor and now, I don't need them anymore. They are now useless. How's that for an analogy?

                  Not, but TNT could be.

Since this doesn't happen much, I'll take this opportunity to toot my own horn:

                      From a week ago.

                      --------------------------------------------------------------------------

                      - McClendon did fine, but Ebell has done better. Luckly, I've found a way to way to play both: scratch TnT, have Ebell run back the kicks. The only KR specialist that exists as a real threat every time he touches the ball is Levingston in TO anyways. We already know Ebell has the speed....

Moving on, IMO Tompkins had had more than enough opportunities to show himself to still be a gamebreaker, or at least consistent. He's done niether, and there is no longer the excuse of the blocking rule to fall back upon. It isn't the coaching, as I thin we can all agree here that our new specials coach has been nothing show of amazing.

The team is looking for a way to get Ebell in uninform. Here it is.

Re: How to solve our import/non-import issue

Tompkins always gives the defenders an extra 3 steps because he always has to adjust to the kick. usually when he gets posession of the ball he's moving the wrong way. He always underestimates the kicker.

Don't mean to ruin your fun, but there were actually about 4-5 of us who came up with that conclusion.

Even going with Acree or Bradley would be okay for kickoff returns in my mind. Acree had one return for 26 yards tonight just by blasting up the middle as fast as he could go. Rotating both RB's in the mix could be a good thing for our ground game - we gotta get both Ebell and Goldie in there.
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are
