    Cross=Over likely...maybe a blessing in disguise?

With TO losing tonight and Hamilton only having one win, I can smell the Esks crossing over to the East by finishing 4th in the west, probably with a .500 record. The way we're going, I cant see us finishing better than Calgary, however, the back-to-back may be the deciding factor. How many would think a cross over is a better scenario for us rather than squeezing in for third in the west?

I think it'd be great. I'd rather go through Montreal and Winnipeg than have to visit BC and Saskatchewan. It's a real possibility.

Can you imagine having to lose the last game of the year against Hamilton, so we can play through the East rather than the West?

That Battle of Alberta GC may not be out of the question
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

I'd rather the crossover instead of 2 West road games, too...easier route, IMO.

I also would like it because I may be in MTL during the East Semi weekend - and if things keep going the way they are, an EDM @ MTL East Semi is a possibility.

i think it would be very favorable for us.. i was keeping my eye on it last year but we lost the chance with win & tor doing well.. i think the crossover would be very appealing. lot better chance than going to BC or sask our record at taylor field, ( sorry it is still taylor field to me!) leaves alot to be desired..

crossover could be very favorable to edmonton.. i would prefer it to the west scenario actually!

If Edmonton were to finish behind Winnipeg but ahead of the rest of the eastern teams would we host the East Semi?

If Edmonton does cross over that's great, at least we will have made the playoffs. But then fans will still laugh and put a giant * beside the Eskimos because we couldn't get it done in our own division.

If either the Esks or Stamps cross over, that will make 3 of the 4 teams in the West having earned the crossover at least once. I think if you win enough games to be in the top 6 why should you be made sport of?

The Cross-Over is fine in that you play a weaker team in the semis, but the longer travel can really mess up the game preparation.

One thing about the crossover, if it eliminates the Argos, it could mean a lot of Grey Cup tickets for sale for the fans of whichever two teams end up in the big game.

If we can win both halves of the LDC, combine with BC's glass Qb situation, second is not out of reach folks...... Lot's of season yet

The West team that crosses over has never done well. I don't like the idea of the Esks having to play out east in the playoffs...

But in order to pick up ground BC and Sask have to do no better than a split.

You are correct though, there is plenty of season left, 1st is not out of the question for the Esks, long shot for sure, but still possible.

I dunno. When Bishop gets back he will propel that Argo offense like crazy.

Theoretically the teams may be weaker in the East, but it it's quite a bit more travel too. I'd rather see them kick some arse in the West...
