    Receiver Turnstile keeps spinnin

    EDMONTON (CFL.ca wire) -- The Edmonton Eskimos signed import wide receiver Maurice Mann to a practice roster agreement on Wednesday.

    A fifth round pick (149th overall) of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2004 NFL Draft, Mann has also spent time on the practice squads of the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings where he dressed for one regular season game in 2006. Most recently, Mann attended the Cleveland Browns 2007 training camp.

    In two seasons at the University of Nevada, Mann caught 53 passes for 817 yards and five touchdowns.

    WTF? Are we the Ti-Cats the way we've been going through receiver prospects?

      This is a good thing, we need to upgrade in that area. No harm in bringing a guy in for a look see.

          Maybe Hoag was an all star at college but just wasn't cutting it in our league..? Anyone check out practices lately?

            same sort of resume as this guy IIRC.....ex-NFL practice roster guy...

                if they bring enough in, one is bound to stick.....that said, they should at least give the guys a chance....maybe a week or two...

                  Considering how many receivers we've got on the limp (Tucker, Kamau, Acree, for three)...I'm not surprised at all.

                    My only thing is what is the point in bringing these guys in if we don't give them any playing time?
                    Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

                        If we can't find one guy to last two weeks simply as a depth option, just how do you figure that some no name guy is here to knock Gaylor out of a job?

                              if we're going to bring in some NFL nobodies....we might as well get an ex-Cowboy, for no other reason that because some of our best players have played there....

                              i.e. Kepley, Mobley, Tucker.....
