    Esks by the numbers: 20-29

    20 TOWNS, Tom

    21 WARRINGTON, Don

    22 SCOTT, Tom (1)
    MARSHALL, Blake (1A)
I really debated this btw the two - too tough to call.

    23 SANTUCCI, Angelo
"Tooch" gets the nod over Shannon Garrett, but only just...

    24 BRIGHT, Johnny
    JONES, Ed
    WILSON, Don
    REED, Kavis
    You guys pick this one...

    25 GERMANY, Jim

    26 CUTLER, Dave

    27 MOBLEY, Singor
Again, close call over Marco Cyncar. Mobes was more of a leader, IMO.

    28 BUTLER, Gregg

    29 HOLLIMON, Joe
When arguing with an idiot, make sure he's not doing the same!

For 24, I'd go with either Kavis (one of my favorite Esks in the 90's ), or Johnny Bright. I'm a relative young'un and don't know much about him, but the man must've been pretty good at something to have JP's field named after him.
We're cheering Fight Fight Fight On Eskimos...

For 24, Johnny Bright for sure. You made the right choice for #27.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Marshall gets the nod over Scott I say. Only because while we've been lucky to see a lot of great receivers, we really haven't had many Blake Marshalls. And how many times have we opined our need for someone like that in the past few years!! To me that demonstrates how important a guy like that can be to a team.

(Though I would have hated to have had Scott playing against us!!)
          Turf Toe:
          - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
          - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
          - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."

Bright 24 for sure or 84? Either way Bright.

              Bright for 24, no question.
And for 22, I'd give the nod to Scott....on a team of stars, he stood out so many times. The guy just never dropped anything and made countless second down catches to keep drives going.
It's a tough one....Marshall was one of my favorite Eskimos all-time.

I'm pretty sure Don Wilson wore #20 not #24.

According to the Esks official web site ( http://www.esks.com/default.asp?V_DOC_ID=1297 )Don Wilson wore both 20 and 24, so an argument could be made for him at #20. Do not know Towns well enough to say if he should un seat him though.

#20 has to go to Tom Towns.... Edmonton kid that played his heart out every game! A very honorable mention to "Jim Long Gone Thomas, but he had about 5-6 different jersey numbers

#24 to Johnny Bright....I actually got to see him play when I was young. He was a tremendous running back.

#22 to Tommy Scott.... He was just simply the best possession slot back receiver of all time. And I loved Blake Marshall ( 3rd and 1 or 2 yds you knew he was getting the ball and you couldn't stop him).

#27 Singor Mobley.... Because of his leadership skills, but Marco Cyncar was no slouch and another U of A NI player.

Towns, along with Dale Potter (#30) and somebody named Dan Kepley (never heard much about him ) were THE most feared linebacking corps in the entire league during the 70's & 80's.

Toss in Dave (Dr. Death) Fennell, David Boone, York Henschel and Ron Estey - the famed "Alberta Crude" D-Line - and a defensive backfield of Larry Highbaugh, Joe Hollimon, Ed Jones (and later Gregg Butler), Emilio Fraietta, John Falinger, Dick Dupuis and Pete Lavorato, and it's a wonder the Eskimos lost as many games as they did. They didn't lose many, but you get the idea...

My personal favorite for # 28 was Terry Ray (99-02)

Especially after he went on to star with the Bombers.
