DM is a looooooong way from being a good head coach. Yup, he's put together a couple good games here. It only took him 3 years to figure out you have to run the ball, and this is not even guaranteeing that this trend will last. We played great at the beginning of the year and managed to play like crap for 3 games, resorting to old ways. He's improving, we do have some good coaches on this staff. We shouldn't clean house, but DM should not be our HC next season. Even if we win the GC, I'm hoping that he leaves respectfully or at the very least moves up the GM position while someone takes over the HC job. I said it at the beginning of the season, I take him as a proud person, wants to be good at what he does. He wants respect, he's turned this team around this season, he'll leave with a once of dignity if he leaves or moves up after this season.

A GREY CUP WIN AS A ROOKIE. You have to be kidding. There was no way the esks should have even had a sniff at first, one more win and the would have hosted the western final in 2005 in a very tough division.

Yep I'm kidden Ya.... The Esks won the 2005 Grey Cup regardless of DM, it was the PLAYERS....not him....It's the truth!

Saying that DM is a Looooooooooooong way away from being a good HC is laughable. If he is that bad they wouldnt be tied for first right now. I almost cant wait till the esks get a knew HC, it prolly wouldnt take long before ppl here start to **** on the new guy.

Since you are not capable of figuring it out....DM should not be the HC of the Esks next season UNLESS the Esks win the next last 3 last games of the season and get the BYE for the Western Final at home. We need to win that game and then win the GC!

That should be the minimum endoosrement for DM as HC!

When I positive repped RoB for his posts in this thread, I told him that asking a lynch mob to stop and think for a moment is never a bad thing. This Maciocia detractor is going to see what happens the rest of the way this season before I make any more proclamations about his continuing on as Esk head coach because the '06 & '07 fiascos never got him canned and aren't going to now. In other words, I'm going to try to enjoy the ride (as long as it lasts) for now instead of critiquing every little bump along the way. If the journey ends badly, so be it. The off-season gives us plenty of time to react to that.
