    Eskies chain of command

I've been an eskies fan for a lot of years and I always thought that I was a super fan, until i found this site and the knowledge that is posted here.

What is the chain of command as it sits right now for the eskies?

    Top of the ladder......................

    Next in command...................... RL

3rd in command.........................DM (it pains me to say that)

Is this right? and can someone fill in the top blank please.

I hope so, but I think DM is made out of a human form of teflon. Nothing sticks to him.

He must have an entire photo-album of pictures.

He's the board of directors chair. A decsion like that would have to be made by the board.

The Board of Directors is at the top of the ladder, so to speak. It would be the Board who would have the power to dismiss RL and anybody under him including D(u)M....

I'm not sure how to contact the Board chair, but certainly it wouldn't hurt for all us EE fans to sit down and write this man a letter expressing our frustrations and disappointments as to what is happening to this proud franchise.

Pretend you know nothing about football. And you are the BOG chair.

Let's look at it from a purely business point of view.

Sure we've lost the revenue for a playoff game. But despite our poor seasons, our ticket numbers are actually slightly up. So financially, not much concern.

Our record has actually improved this year. Maybe everything the coach/GM has been saying about being patient is true.

But you can't trust his opinion. So, let's ask our football consultant Hugh. Well, he is backing the current coaching regime.

Sure the fans are complaining. But we can't expect to win the Cup every year. That isn't realistic.

              I think we stand pat.

Those playoff games can generate revenue each year in the millions....if we are happy standing pat losing over the last 4 years upwards of 4 million dollars into the teams coffers, then something is wrong from a business standpoint as well.

They can generate millions... but in recent history for the most part the Esks didn't. Hell, they just gave away the lions share of tickets with their season ticket packs (until the league put an end to that practice)... and typically I think attendance was generally below average, even with all those freebies out there.
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

What revenues would those be???...all of the gate receipts go to the league! Are you telling me that there is $1 million (in the voice of Dr. Evil) in food and merchandise? I don't think so... Sure there has been a hit to the revenues, but it is no where near that amount.

To me it was never about what I accomplished on the football field, it was about the way I played the game.

exactly, I'm sure one of our Rider fans here who get their general statements could tell us exactly what the Riders reported as additional revenue for their PO game last year. I recall it being in excess of a million....

I suspect board member Harold Roozen may be in favor of firing both RL and DM.

The problem is that most, if not all, of these board members were hand-picked by Hugh and, of course, Hugh supports this current regime because he hand-picked them as well.

So, we still have the fine hand of our "consultant" at work here.

Thanks all for the reply, now all we have to do is haope that the RL, or the board members if not RL, do what they need to do in the off season as its clearly not going to happen this year.

I was hoping there would be an early week firing
