    Challenger extends

I see all the Canuck contracts getting taken care of in 2008 which means any signing bonuses will count to the 2008 cap...handy...

Of course, link or it isn't true. And while you're there at the Esks site, you can check out the Christmas greetings from the players in another 'news' item.

So does that mean that the Esks were likely under the cap for '08 and are filling out our remaining '08 cap space with signing bonuses for '09? Hopefully we get to see more of Challenger this coming season(its time to say bye-bye to Brock Ralph).

Would seem to indicate so. If they have left over cap room, might as well use it.

I thought this thread would be about a space shuttle delaying its return to Earth.

Good signing. He'll be a good player, but I'd still prefer to have...Tsoumpas, or however it's spelled.

You'd have to pry him way from Willy Wonka first.

Either a cruel joke or a conspiracy of a wormhole that opened 24 years ago and is re-opening now....?

I think this is a good signing and signals the end of Brocks tenure here in Edmonton. Challenger has some good speed and good hands that he displayed
in a few game situations this year.......SMS room as well.

Wonder if we can trade Ralph for a useful player?

welcome news indeed Challenger has the tools to be a premier Wr in this league.

After last year, would anybody bother to take him?
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Probably not, but he came to Alberta for the health of his daughter, so his trade options are somewhat limited.
