    Post game thread...

Ricky Ray and the o-line won this one all on their own.

Ricky Ray - Fantastic game too bad he had to put up with horrendous receiving, drop after drop.

O-line - One of their best games of the year.

Whitlock - 1 yard from 28-10 he blows it.

Richie Hall - Purely awful game management. How he doesn't challenge any of those plays is beyond me.

That was the worst reffed game to date.....Pass Interference that wasn't there.....a totally BULL**** unnecessary roughness call... (granted give him the 5 yards for breaking the zone) and not calling an interception an interception.....but Hall should have thrown the flag on that.

Please get some officials in this league who dont' suck ass........they ALMOST lost the game for us.

Oh and congrats to Ray for going 20 for 20 and almost breaking the record.

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

Great game by Ray to shut up guys like me from last week.

But some aspect of the Eskimos' team always decides to not show up. Last week it was Ray, other times it's the defense, this week it was the receivers. Brutal game by that group. Unacceptable.

And, of course, another game marred by incompetent officiating. SO BAD!!!

We can't let the fact that we won this game obscure how the team just lost its concentration yet again in the second half. That was yet another disastrous 2nd-half performance by the offense (not including Ray this time).

Let's get this right when the Wheaties crawl into town next week.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Strasser get's a huge atta boy for quickening Ray's release. It was NOTICABLY quicker which helped the oline drastically

Same old, offense falls asleep in second half and defense can't stop anything. At least the receivers showed defense isn't our only problem.

Awesome game by Ray. Whitlock played well but hold onto the damn ball. That game was a yard from over.

Second turning point in the game for us was when it started to rain. Receivers didn't adapt and it damn near killed us.

These officials get caught up in the crowd or what?

Defense finally makes a big stand at the end.

                Hopefully things are looking up.

Near perfect game by Ricky Ray. Unfortunately, the receiver didn't help him much in the 2nd half. I thought our play calling went away from what we did in the first half with our quick release passing plays, but it was pretty decent. I think our offense would have kept marching if we make some catches for first downs.

Whitlock wears horns for the fumble, but he also had 2 TDs and did a lot of power running which really helped out our offense. The run blocking wasn't great, but Whitlock has learned to keep the legs chugging and power for an extra 2-4 yards. Those yards really helped, and kept the defenses honest. Keeping the LBs near the line really helped out our quick release passing game. Going away from the run game in the second half hurt the offense IMO.

The receivers will also wear the horns, but they made some great catches in the first half. Mann had a great game, and I'd love for Stamps to catches upfield instead of looping around like he does once or twice a game. Overall, I think the receivers had an average game, but only because great plays and bad plays balanced eachother out. Mann undressing Morgan was beautiful. Not sure what Omarr was thinking.

McGrath was brutal, but Koch had a decent game today. He didn't get a great push on run blocking, but he sustained his blocks and allowed Whitlock to fight for extra yards.

Mo Lloyd had a great game. I think it's impossible to be a good defensive player and not take really stupid penalties. Romero does it, Mo Lloyd does. You have to have that mentality to play defense well.

Rod Davis played better at WIL than Restelli has all season. Especially when blitzing.

St. Pierre has done really well in his reps, really nice to have him as an option there.

Really hope Gordon is back next week. Elliot had bad position and was a step slow all game. He just doesn't anticipate enough. Too afraid of getting beat back side maybe, he needs to read the QBs eyes better.

Keyes didn't have great coverage, but the rest of the secondary played pretty well. Goss had a solid game, Lenny did as well...not too many throws over to that side of the field. Malveaux made nice tackles, but gave up a few too many underneath throws.

Overall, one of the better games our defense has played. Maybe it was because it's the least they've been on the field. Only 20 points that they gave up.

If this team actually played to its capabilities they would be in the range of Montreral but each week we have a bunch of terrible plays, just awful. There is no excuse for dropping pass after pass right on the money. There is no excuse for not challenging key plays. There is no excuse for missing vey makeable field goals. There is no excuse for fumbling away a sure td for an opposing td.

The reffing stunk for sure but we do everything humanly possible to lose games one way or the other and we do it pretty well every week.

When Ray gets time he's deadly. If you can get pressure on him he becomes very average. The Riders have a lot of sacks, but overall we have one of the weakest DLs in the league, and that hurt us today.

The rain really seemed to have a big impact. Ray had 20 consecutive completions in the first half, one away from the recored, but when the rain came there were drops right, left and centre.

The interception in the end zone should have been challenged, but that won't have been Ritchie's call. He can't see that play from where he stands. That would have been a spotters call.

Also....pretty obvious that McCarty was NOT ready to play. I swear hamstrings are the worst friggin injury to have.

#2, rain is a total non excuse. when the ball is hitting you in the mitts every time you catch it, it was far from a monsoon. The riders have no trouble catching.

#3, No excuse, you have challenges you use them and if it is a key time in the game you use them anyways or you kick your spotters in the ass.

Ray`s bad second half can be directly ties to the recievers dropping the ball on him. He had to have at least 7 drops in that second half. Even if half of those are completions this is a different game.

Gotta be happy any time you come out of Taylor Field with two points... not to mention this clinches the season series vs. the Riders, which is a great perk
